“Lyle Griffin is the co-founder and president of Selerix, home of the BenSelect administration platform used to deliver Aflac’s products to many of its clients. Aflac’s relationship with Selerix dates back more than 15 years, when Aflac U.S. became the first major insurer to license the Selerix BenSelect software. Since then, both organizations have seen dramatic growth and change in the products and services that are in demand in the industry. Over the past 15 years, Selerix has provided technology and support aimed at helping Aflac position and deliver its products in an efficient and effective manner.

Selerix has supported the evolution of Aflac’s employee benefits business by providing the Aflac At Work (AAW – Selerix’s BenSelect) benefits administration platform. This platform allows Aflac to provide clients with the ability to communicate the value of Aflac’s products to employees, seamlessly enroll in those benefits, and accurately report elections to vendors – all from one easy-to-use site. Many of Aflac’s brokers have successfully incorporated the value of electronic delivery of Aflac products into their employer value proposition. Their partnership with Aflac and access to the Selerix platform has become a cornerstone of a number of practices.

As the pace of change in the employee benefits environment continues to accelerate, integration between the multiple facets of the benefits brokerage, administration, and claims business are also evolving, and Selerix’s platform integrates best-in-class capabilities across the ecosystem, which helps Aflac better meet the evolving needs of its clients.

As part of its efforts to support brokers and producers amid the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 Selerix introduced “Virtual enrollment Assistance” capabilities that allow remote enrollers to provide consultation via telephone and web connection. Additionally, Selerix introduced Selerix Engage, a full-featured engagement platform that enables employers, brokers and carriers to deliver targeted employee communications via text, email and push notifications that help measure and monitor employees’ needs and desires.

While Lyle’s role as President is a full-time endeavor, Lyle maintains his entrepreneurial passion and is actively involved in Selerix’s product innovation and new product features, and he actively collaborates with the development team to help Selerix stay ahead of marketplace trends.”

“With just over 100 employees, some could consider Selerix a ‘small’ entrepreneurial firm; a David in a world of Goliaths, but we have focused our energy on providing the most flexible and broadest benefits administration platform available in the market. The benefits environment is complex. That is true whether we focus on regulatory standards or the intricacies of various benefit designs. Helping Aflac and our other licensees capture these concepts and deliver an employee experience that is efficient and productive is how we see our role, and technology is the tool we utilize to reach that end in partnership with a number of world-class partners.”

Selerix is trusted by more than 18,000 employer groups for their benefits administration, ACA, and employee engagement needs.  Contact us to learn more today!
