The virtual ‘Voluntary Only Case Build’ course covers the topics necessary for voluntary-only plans/products, management, and enrollment monitoring. Features of the course include:
- Blended Learning: Virtual classroom sessions, self-paced modules and tasks.
- 3 Virtual sessions, across two weeks (Tuesday/Thursday/Thursday)
- Homework assignments between each session
- Updated tasks, tools, & templates
- Voluntary plan build focused (i.e., generic carrier products using CI and UL engines)
NOTE: Virtual sessions use Zoom video/teleconferencing, which will be available for download. A 2nd monitor is strongly RECOMMENDED. Participants will receive step-by-step instructions throughout the course and participate in group work. A second monitor ensures the participant can follow along and complete steps in real time during the course.
The Voluntary Only Case Build course is intended for only NEW users of BenSelect and is specifically focused on voluntary plan builds, using a templated case. This course is appropriate for our partners who configure or update cases and are responsible for their own reporting and data delivery. Each registration includes 3 months of free access to the Selerix Training Studio, which contains content covered in the class, pre-work content, and supplemental training modules.
This Voluntary Only Case Build Training course is organized into the following subject areas:

- Building from a Template Case
- Building out Carrier Plans
- Census Upload Basic & Advanced
- Case Customization with Cosmetics
- EDI Basics
- HR Admin (Basics – Enrollment, Testing)
- Case Wrap-up
- Reporting Fundamentals
- Ongoing Case Maintenance
Attendees will receive course materials, via an SFTP site, such as the following:
- Participant Guide
- PowerPoint Presentations, for use as reference material
- Starter Implementation Kit, version 12 (Includes access to templates and job aids)
- Additional reference materials to support case building and management
Prework
Required and optional prework will be provided upon registration. We strongly encourage you to complete optional prework assignments as they will enhance learning and help you “connect the dots” for the topics and processes that are laid out in the course.

*The training is cumulative, so participants must participate in all planned training sessions. Please plan accordingly to attend/view the entire training, from beginning to end.
